How to create a herb garden

A herb garden is a great addition to any outdoor space. It provides a constant supply of fresh ingredients for cooking, while also attract bees and butterflies to your garden.

You don’t need to have a lot of space. A herb garden can easily be grown in a border, raised bed, planter, window box, hanging basket, or even an old washing up bowl! Plant them in a sunny spot, if possible – this will strengthen the essential oils in the leaf, giving a strong flavour.

Picking perennial herbs, such as Mint, Rosemary and Sage, can be used in cooking all year round. If you’d like to attract more wildlife to your garden, herbs such as Caraway, Lavender and Thyme work wonders.

To keep your herbs productive, pick them regularly.

Planters filled with aromatic herbs at the door of your garden studio will provide a fresh scent when you pass through the entrance.
